Sweet ruthveni. There is a special place in my heart for those guys.

Way back when, I saw a small group of ruthveni. Unbeknownst to me then, they were descendants from originals brought over in the late 70s. They were large, especially in girth, compared to many seen today. I could swear one of them was well over 3ft and thick enough to swallow a small rat.

Would you know what locale they could have been from? Darker than the locale you pictured here, slightly higher band count if I remember correctly, and much more robust.
