I'm home for lunch right now. This morning when I woke up, she'd laid one more egg. This one looks pretty good. It's not deflated like the one she laid before I went to bed last night. I was HOPING she would have laid at least one more while I was at work this morning. No such luck.

If she doesn't lay them by the time I leave this evening, I'm wondering if I should cancel after all or if she and the eggs would be ok til Sunday. She has 3 more lumps to go. The next lump isn't too close to her vent yet.

Figures that I have a slow snake.

Oh, and I've been debating what method I want to use to incubate the one seemingly good egg so far. I have it in a container with damp (not wet) perlite in the bottom. There are air holes on the sides of the container (it's another sterilite one).

During the day, I keep my house at 80 for the snakes. When I come home, I usually turn on the AC to knock it down to 72 BUT, I can easily shut the door to one room & keep it in the high 70s during this time period.

So, I'm tempted not to provide any external heat. I've read a lot where people seem to just put the eggs on a shelf and let them do their thing naturally.

Would a daily temperature fluctuation of (maybe) 3-5 degrees be ok?
