The Cyclone trait is a heritable trait that affects both pattern and color in approximately 50% of the offspring in the first generation.

The Cyclones are indeed aberrant boas. I have produced both hypo and non-hypo versions. The Cyclone trait is not 100% understood. I have my theories on what it is, but at this point it is pointing to a dominant trait. There is still some work to be done and I look forward to proving things further. The Cyclone trait is 100% heritable and will be seen in the first generation.

I have been working on the Cyclones since 2005 when I produced the first litter of Cyclones. This year I was able to breed Cyclone hypo to Cyclone hypo and produced Pos. Super Hypo Cyclones and an Extreme Cyclone non-hypo.

Here are the parents I produced in 2005

I will be compiling a larger write up and posting it on my website to inform everyone of the things I have learned thus far. I will be using the information I have learned from my own breedings as well as breedings that a couple of others have had.
