OK to house baby Leopard Tort outdoors?

Hello all. I have a CB baby leopard tortoise about 4 months old, and was wondering if I can keep him outdoors since weather is permitting. I have some old reptariums, so I was going to put it on its side and give him a few weeks outdoors if possible (with old hay as substrate). Just curious how much more susceptible young ones are if left outside, than adults.

Also, as far as supplementing, what brand do most of you use, and how often? I know it's not rigid and there are some variables, and know not to use D3 if housed outdoors, but if the diet is correct with 70 to 75% grasses, then about how often should I add calcium? I've read contrasting info and just curious for some input. Thanks and sorry for so many questions.
