Hello,

I am new here and relatively new to reptiles. A good friend of mine from Michigan Reptile Rescue has assisted me in my Boxer Rescue for a few years now. When I first met her I could not imagine ever owning a reptile of any kind. Silly me!

I now have a Bearded Dragon named Matilda(from Rescue), a Mali Uromastyx, two crested geckos and now two Iguanas.

I love them all but have discovered that Iguanas are my true love. I just cannot resist them and have yet to meet one I dont fall for. My two are Tootsie and Digit. Tootsie came from rescue a year ago. One of my boxer fosters transported her to Jane and I met her at the same time. I fell in love and offered to foster her. It took me about two weeks to decide to just adopt her. I love Tootsie and I got very lucky with her. She is sweet, affectionate and very easy to care for.
We have another green Iguana, Digit, who is not actually here yet. He is a rescue who has had a good life and great care but sadly his owner was unable to keep him. He is staying with Jane until she feels he is ready for the transition. His name is Digit and he is very handsome!

I am looking for owners of Rhino Iguanas to talk to though. I seriously am considering adopting one and would like to know about them from other owners. I have read pretty much everything I can find and have talked to Jane for hours on the subject. I have met her Rhinos as well and really love them, especially Bubbles.

I am very excited to be helping with Reptile rescue. It is fascinating to learn more about these wonderful creatures and I know I have so much to learn.

Please excuse me if sometimes I ask questions that might seem silly or stupid. I am just trying to learn from those who know more than I do.

Thank you

Beth Moody
