We have had Rexie for 3 months now and she is still not eating "greens." After a couple of weeks of not eating any type of "salad mix" I gave her dandelions. She wolfed down the flowers, but tosses the leaves aside. I made a mash of honey and a parakeet seed blend and she scarfs that up too. When I give her seeds, I put a tad of water in the cage cuz it just looks so dry.
She is really active in the morning and the late afternoon after "sunning" all day. She sleeps from 9pm to 8am. I can hold her, and she comes to the side of the enclosure when I come to feed in the morning. She'll turn her head and climb off her basking spot and seems to be waiting for food.
My question is...are flowers enough? I have been reading your posts, and most people talk about feeding greens. How can I get her to eat greens? How much green stuff should she be eating? She is about 12 inches long.
Thanks bunches!
