This is my first venture into breeding Pits and i'm wondering what (temp., humidity, medium), if anything, should be done differently than other colubrids (corns, kings, etc.). Also this was an accidental breeding (the female is an '06) and all literature i've found indicates that they shouldn't breed until their 3rd or 4th year. She is ~50-55 inches. Niether the male(an '05) nor the female were brumated. She was housed with the male for about an hour during a cage cleaning earlier in the spring and sure enough she popped out 6 huge eggs today (Wow, these things are huge compared to corn eggs). The female is from Randy Whittington who I believe i've seen post on this forum a couple of times. Randy, and everyone else, any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, rob377 [ Hide Replies ]
