I would contact the breeder and ask if he is aware of other hypo genes that might be in the line.

What might be worth doing, not individually but maybe as a hobby spread out amongst some individuals, is to have some lines that are known to carry one and only one type of hypo so that hypos of unknown line could be tested to see what is going on and new hypo genes identified.



It wouldn't surprise me if there are several different hypos that can't visually be told apart but are not allelic, I know the same thing happens in Cal Kings with hypos and lavenders.
