My clutch of what I THOUGHT where hypo stripe X hypo stripe have all hatched. Don Soderberg helped me via email and stated that the first hatchling looked just like a normal striped should look and explained that the stripe gene does subdue the dark colors wich can cause some confussion with people (like me) not used to dealing with the hypo stripe gene. Obviously it caused some confussion with the person I bought them from as well but he is good people with a good rep so he shall remain nameless and gets a "pass" from me since I plan on doing more business with him anyway.



The only bummer is that the female that I thought was a hypo stripe female was bred to my phantom male for the double clutch in an effort to produce het phantom stripes. She laid 9 good eggs......but if that's the only bummer I can think of then I guess I'm not too bad off!! I should still be able to produce some phanotm stripes and charcoal stripes from those.









Here is a pic of the clutch showing one anery stripe and one amel stripe with the last one still pipped but I can tell that it to is an amel stripe.
