In deed he did know we were there. He was head bobbing, doing push-ups and standing on his toes at us. My guess he was courting a beautiful female that was about 15 yds away. She bolted the second she saw us.
Did you notice the pattern in the middle of his back? He had a salmon hue on most of his body and neck region He was one of the most striking wild chuck I've seen in the wild.
