Everyone - that type of pattern anomaly is COMMON in ones that don't develop properly. Trust me - if it would have been a healthy neonate, it would have had a normal pattern.
When you have a screwed up pattern and a snake that didn't develop correctly, the pattern is due to the developmental problem. It is NOT just a coi8ncidence. We hatch a few undeveloped/deformed babies like that each year - and their pattern is almost always reminiscent of that one.
The one that doesn't make it is ALWAYS the odd one that SHOULD have survive to the novice breeder - but the odd pattern is almost always due to the fact that it didn't develop properly./ I'm sorry your baby didn't make it, but that pattern wasn't anything special that you could have developed. The loss of any hatchling is upsetting, but don't let it bum you out thinking the one that got away was one with the possibility of a new morph.
