Hi KJ,....I've bred lots of different snakes over the years, and found the very faded "ghostly" coloration to be the most common thing that is first noticed. Like you mentioned, many novices will think they have a very special faded "ghost" individual that didn't quite go full term in the egg. I really wasn't aware that that particular pattern was relatively common with corns that didn't pip though.
There's no doubt that you have bred many more corns than I have in the past, so there must certainly be something to what you mentioned..........very interesting indeed!
