That is ABSOLUTELY correct. As a matter of fact, I've talked about this very thing many times to other folks.

From this location(east coast central Florida), there is absolutely no other genetic geneflow from ANY of the other obsoleta complex at all. They are in their purest form in this location, their basically their own little isolated entity in this geographic location. I caught a female about 18-20 years ago onlt a mile or so from where I got this one,.....and it was one of the prettiest I've ever seen in over 40 years of owning snakes.

Certainly, there are going to be a few in the area that aren't quite as exceptional as some, but from the ones I've seen, plus several DOR specimens, this area undoubtedly has some great looking yellow specimens.
