Good question. I have found that Ball eggs usually hatch at around 55-65 days or so. Most people incubate their eggs at 88 - 90 degrees, and I think its fair to say that at 90 degrees the eggs will tend to hatch closer to 55plus days and at 88 it will be closer to 60plus days. In reading The Guide to Owning a Ball Python by John Coburn he writes that it can take "as much as 105 days under more natural conditions" or when maternally incubated where the mother may leave to bask, etc...and the eggs are not maintained at an exact and precise temperature the whole time. I like to incubate my eggs at 88.5 degrees using a HerpStat controller to set temps. I like to know that I have the half degree buffer if I have a slight spike and if I have to wait a couple days extra for them to hatch thats fine. I say this because you need to be careful when you get to temps past 90 degrees, this is to the point when I believe people have kinked babies, mutations, and infant mortality rates go up.
