Some fellow who makes cages lightly torched the regular plywood and then applied a layer or so of regular sealer and it works great. What is best is the monitor only poops in the water bowl and never once has it ever pooped on the cage floor, so I have a large drain for the water basin leading to valve and drain it into a bucket and its easy cleaing for that particular specimen.
