Posted by: John Q at Mon Jul 7 09:36:05 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by John Q ] How do the eggs look? I've heard of 70 days and if the temps were low you might even go a few days more. If they look good and don't feel overly thick I would carefully cut one to see what is going on. I have had one clutch of rat snake eggs that were extremely thick. The hatchlings could not cut the eggs. I could tell that something was wrong during incubation because the eggs did not grow/expand properly. They had a bulge in the middle and expanded out to one side. They would have died if I had not cut the eggs for them. [ Hide Replies ]
