Your task is to determine if your monitor is SICK or healthy. If healthy, she could be gravid and in great need to drop her eggs. Which explains the digging.
If sick, she needs to head to the vet. Being eggbound is also a form if sickness.
As a forum does not have the ability to actually examine the patient, there is no real value in a dozen or so guesses. Which is what your going to get on here, guesses. A Vet actually examines the animal.
The above choice(decision) is the keepers to make. Its a responsibility that comes with ownership. So you have to make it.
About waiting until thursday for the vet visit. I hope your monitor doesn't die before the appointment. Another decision of yours, there are more vets you know. How about just taking the monitor to the vet without an appointment, kinda like an emergency care visit.
Remember, the problem with animals is, by the time they SHOW illness, they are REALLY sick. They do not whine at the first sign, but instead wait until they are very very sick before "you" see it. So you making a very fast decision is very important. Good luck
