We use the vinyl sticky tile that you find at most home improvement stores. It's easy to clean, comes in any color/style that you like, doesn't move once paper backing is removed, very cheap to buy(like one or two bucks per piece),light weight(not heavy like the slate) and can be cut to fit any size that you may need. I just use an unscented baby wipe to quickly remove waste. just a thought
