Hi, I've been feeding baby balls for years and the stubborn babys seem to eat for me when I put a couple hide boxes in the cage. So it has places to hide when it is hunting the mouse hopper. Mouse hoppers seem to work best with stubborn eaters!(live) that is!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!! Bob
