"Special needs" Beardie flipping over

I have posted a few times about Trip, my brand new baby with a kink in his back who also flips over frequently. This is his first full day here, and he is eating and drinking well. I have found him about 4 times today on his back unable to flip himself over. I helped him out immediately, but I can't watch him all day. Will it harm him if he is on his back for a while? I was thinking about strategically placing flat rocks throughout his tank to give him something to 'get a grip on' and right himself. Any other ideas???
