Give it a second to sniff you and slowly pick it up. He'll soon associate your scent with safety.
And don't "hold" the snake. scoop it up with a hooked finger and allow it to "walk" freely over you hands. Holding onto it makes the snake feel captured.
Walk your snake over you hands for about 15 minutes, three times a week and offer it food about ten minutes after returning it to its cage and within 2 weeks it will climb onto your hand when you reach in. -----
