Posted by: tbrock at Wed Jul 23 18:07:07 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by tbrock ] There is (or was) a downloadable program called "Snake Measurer" that I used for a few snakes, a while back, which seemed fairly accurate, to me. To use the program, you need to have a digital camera, and take an overhead photo of the snake next to a ruler or measuring tape. You put in the measurement increment, and then draw a line of points down the mid-dorsum of the snake, from tip of the nose to end of the tail. The entire body needs to be in the picture for an accurate measurement. | ||
