This was a nice surprise! I bred my male Honeybee to a Het for Ghost female. The Het female laid 9 eggs, including one she retained for a day. Just after Independence Day, all 9 eggs started to hatch.
With 9 eggs, I was hoping on just hitting the odds of 2 Honeybees. Last year, for the most part, I had lousy luck .
I hatched 2.3 Honeybees, 1.0 high white Spider het Orange Ghost, 0.1 Orange Ghost, and 1.1 Het for Orange Ghosts.
I couldn't have been happier with this clutch!
I'd love to hear other people's results! Good and bad luck. I think it is all very fascinating.
I can't imagine my good luck continuing for too long but I'm hoping it doesn't change. I think I'm making up for some bad results from '07.
Thanks.
Casey
