I have another turtle that laid 9 eggs on July 9th. I also have a turtle that has only one back leg, but she some how managed to dig her nest and lay 7 eggs, on June 29th. I’m not sure why they laid so many eggs this year. I do know that last summer we had lots of rain here and it seemed like every day I would come home from work, with a large cup or two of mushrooms for the turtles to eat. I always found it hard to believe that they could eat so may mushrooms each day. But they always did, and would just leave crumbs behind.(I work for the post office delivering mail and would pick the mushrooms up as I walked the route.)

Wow! Hard to say why they layed so many eggs. Your female on the far right looks exactly like one of my females! What state are they from? Three of mine are from Alabama, and one is from Tennessee.
