my advice... wait. I was in the same situation you were in. I had bearded dragon, iguana, and a turtle, but I could never add a snake to my "collection" of reps. I'm through college now and livin on my own so now I have a corn. You should know snakes are the [bleep], probably the best reptile to own, for many reasons... anyways, you should just get a lizard, beardies are cool and wait for the snake. You aren't missing out on a corn for no good reason, show your mum some respect (I didn't) and just commit to the idea that once you get out of her house you'll get a snake... you live the majority of your life away from home... so don't sink into despair.
