>>This Corn from what I was told is a Ghost. I tried to get some decent pics but they came out somewhat yellowish. The corn has a slight yellow band down the side like some anerys I have seen but I would describe her color as peach....or flesh tone...anyway maybe you experts can tell me what it is for sure. The next one is my male Lavender corn...I do know that one. lol...

>>

>>Now here is a question that I hope someone can help with. What morphs can be made with a ghost or and also with a Lavender? I know Lavender is recessive but does it make anything cool ? What should I be thinking to make? I have butters, Anerys, Snows, Sunglows, Albinos, Ultramel...Will any of these help me create something else or am I way off in what I am thinking. I think with all the different types of corns out there it becomes a bit overwhelming to just grasp the small stuff...so please try and understand where I am coming from.

>>

>>Thanks Andy

I'm definitely no expert either but that first one is a ghost.

There is yellow saturation throughout the whole picture so it's not a true representation of the yellow on the snake. Look at the hand.

I would say ghost (a ghost is anery and and hypo)

Now if you bred the ghost to the lavender (no known hets) you would get normals het anery het hypo het lavender.

"albinos" and sunglows are the same thing...amelanistic. The only difference is sunglows are selectively bred amels resulting in brighter colors and a complete to almost complete removal of white.

butters are caramel and amel

snows are anery and amel

unless you know if any of these snakes have hidden hets then the only way you will see any results in the F1 offspring is if they share a common trait.

If you bred the lavender to the ghost there are no common traits so the offspring would be normal het anery het hypo het lavender as stated above.

now if you were to breed the amels or sunglows to the butters you have amelanism in common so you would get amels het caramel.

if you breed the lavender to anything else you have, you will get normals het lavender and whatever traits the other snake carries.

To the snow they would be normal het anery het amel het lavender

to the butters they would be normal het amel het caramel het lavender

With the snakes you have listed there are some combos that would yeild results other then normals just match up traits...either homo or het...but you have to know if there are any hets

lavender: lavender

"albino": amelanism

sunglow: amelanism

anerys: anerythrism

snows: amelanism and anerythristic

ghosts: anerythristic and hypomelanism

butters: amel and caramel

now the ultramel is a different story

if you breed an ultramel to an amel you could get ultramels and amels but as far as F1 results with the other morphs....sorry not 100% sure on that. I am pretty sure I know but I would prefer to leave the ultramel in the equation to someone with more experience
