Hi Teri, they are from a more arid climate and don't require the same humidity as balls. There are PLENTY of kingsnake care sheets available. Do a quick search on any search engine, and I'm sure you'll find all the information you need just on the first page of matches.



A note on corncob bedding: I woke up to a dead adult Florida King when I was about 10 years old, because she had ingested too much of the bedding while feeding and choked/suffocated to death. I haven't used it since. Not saying it CAN'T work, that's just the experience I had with it. Needless to say, not a good one. I'd personally use Aspen or even newspaper.
