Mites

Hello, not sure I have mites or not. I ran into them once 15 years ago with an Iguana. However today I went downstairs to remove a shed from a cage. I noticed some blood on the aspen shavings, I assume that is from the rats that was thawed out. But when I removed the shed I saw two little pin pt red bugs in the shed.



I have not brought anything new into my collection for over a year. I changed the aspen bedding 3 months ago. I looked for mites on the snake and could not find one or them running around on the aspen. I am hoping it was just a couple of spiders, or them red dot bugs, I went back to look at it after I threw it away and they where gone. Do you think I am being paranoid.
