I really appreciated how they called out Rodda et al for having a hand in the media scare.
I like the terminology "excessively broad" in reference to the prediction maps when either term alone would have sufficed. I also like their phrase: "particularly imprecise" in regards to the same maps. I find it encouraging that they also said Rodda et al's methods: "appear to deviate from the standard protocols used in ecological niche modeling, and may be significantly under-parameterized". I think that's college-speak for "your work sucks and you're lazy!"

I am also ecstatic about this sentence as it can be used in the future to justify a lack of legislation:
"The alarmist claims made by the USGS could potentially hamper scientific discourse and inquiry into the problem, especially with regard to policy-making".

One thing I was surprised to read is that the suitable habitat of the burmese python would actually be restricted by global warming!! Freaky!! I never would have expected that.
