I was reading your post when my wife walked by and made a remark about me looking at women prettier than her on the internet. We've been married for nearly thirty years and ribbing each other about our ever developing wrinkles is nothing new.
The conversation that followed went something like this
Me: I'm just reading a post some guy posted with pictures of his wife holding some of the snakes in his collection.
Wife: She's pretty... and you can tell it's his wife.
Me: How the heck can you tell it's his wife from two pictures?
Wife: No man would have a girlfriend that looks that good and take pictures that cut off her face... it takes a husband's level of commitment and security to do that!
Haha I had to laugh. She is right. It's something I would do too. I love my wife, she's the prettier half of this marriage. It took her over over a decade of me keeping snakes before she finally was willing to actually hold one. She would touch one if I held the head away from her and would come into my snake room if I was along, but she always said, "You stay out of my garden and I'll stay out of your snake pit."
