My red tail just gave birth

She just had 14 baby's about 24 hours ago I had her breed last year but found the baby's about 3-4 days after birth. I am pulling the baby's out of the big cage and putting them in there own tank for now. Is there any reason they need to be with mom? I breed my own feed so feeding won't be an issue. But what else do I need to watch for?
