OK, I see. I wrote this under the assumption that they were different after reading Ralph's website, under Butter, which states, "butter is not to be confused with the 'Platinum'". I also read John Berry's Designer Morphs and was under the impression that they were different based on that literature. I also recognize that these texts were written a few years ago and understandings of the genetics may have differed since.
I also agree that the nomenclature for different ball python morphs and thier lines is confusing, because there are different names for two "lines" in this case, which obviously threw me off. Since they are still recognized as Butter and Lesser lines, I still think that their crosses with the pinstripe can have different names to clarify the line used in the cross.
Thanks for the clarification. There is alot still to learn.
