I just purchased a female from leopard gecko paradise. She is beautiful, active, and appears in good health--other that her weight. Her length and head size is similar to my other female of her age but her torso width is half. My other female is around 45 grams, my new gecko is only 30 grams. I have many years with reptiles, but only 6 months with leos. My new gecko was bred this season, and Matt from leopard gecko paradise stated that this caused her weight to be low. Does anyone have any suggestions to increase her weight after breeding season? I have meal worms, giant meal worms, wax worms, and am willing to try pinkies (how do you offer these???) Should I try any adjustments to husbandry parameters? She lives in a 25 gal wide, 88-92 on the warm side from an under tank heater that drops to mid 70's at night, moist hide and regular hide, reptile carpet that is changed bi-weekly, water and worm dishes, and heater lamp for day time on the warm side. She does not hide from people, eats from the dish regularly, and she deficates consistently and with normal consistency. I just have never had a post clutch producing breeder and want to get her weight up efficiently as possible. Thanks for all you help.
