Yeah, it's a cool little store. I have to admit I've only been in it once (when I bought Loki) because it's so far from where I live. I'm very near Twin Cities Reptiles, so I go there more frequently. I bought Loki at Leaping Lizards on the advice of a fellow member of the Minnesota Herpetological Society (James Soos, the guy who edits our newsletter) because he said he'd bought lots of animals there and had always been happy with them. I wanted a BRB (FAST, before my husband changed his mind!) and Leaping Lizards was the only store that had them at the time. Twin Cities Reptiles has a breeding pair but had no babies at that moment. Loki's been a real sweetheart!

I plan to go back to the store very soon, because I have a Leaping Lizards $75 gift certificate that's burning a hole in my pocket. Also, the breeder says my baby blood python finally ate something (YAY! She's been holding out for over 2 months) and so I may actually get her sometime in the near future; and I want to get a thermostat and heat pad for her initial enclosure.

>>That's the same place I got both of my geckos - great little reptile store. They seem to take good care of all their animals, and the owner is really enthusiastic about reptiles. You can tell that while it's obviously a business and probably her main source of income, she really does care about and like the animals. I've seen her at the register with a ball python over her shoulder before, and once even just hanging out with a big iguana behind the counter while one of her small staff ran the register.

>>

>>I almost always wander around the store for a few minutes looking at all the snakes and lizards before getting crickets for my geckos, just because it's a pleasure to see so many healthy, inquisitive reptiles peeking out at you. It's especially funny/cute when there's a whole row of baby bearded dragons standing up with their front feet on the edge of their cage window wondering if you have something for them to eat.
