I have an '06 Abbott Okeetee male.
I have a few snakes that only take live, and when they are not in a mood to eat, he gets used as a disposal because he is always a very eager feeder and an excellent constrictor.
Most of the time though, he gets f/t.
When I give him frozen thawed - I dangle it in front of him (just like I do with live mice) and he always grabs and quickly constricts. However, if the first fed to him is f/t - the subsequent mice he grabs and tugs - we won't bother constricting.
Guess he figures with the first, he better be ready to kill it because it might be alive - but if it isn't, then the rest aren't worth the constriction effort. ----- Arrrggg!
It's like Shalom, but for pirates.
