I had another one go missing. A Brazilian this time. Is Mercury in retrograde or something? They're teaching me a lesson for going out of town I guess. I discovered one of my BRBs was missing when I went to feed them last night. One of my favs... in a repti-rack, it had a little crack in the tracking for the sliding doors that we just missed. I'm beating myself up like crazy about not catching it, and doing my very best to learn from my mistakes.



However, I tried a new method for "trapping" a BRB... AND IT WORKED!! I was so shocked! I went to the store and bought a 24 pack of tupperware containers ($6.50), and permanent markered them black. I cut 2 small holes on either side of the top, put some moss in it, and added the lid. I made all 24 of these and put them along the walls so that the holes were right along the walls on either side. A nice little moss hide that they were bound to run into while cruising the room. I put them in every room, outside the house, in the crawl space... everywhere. We continued to search, didn't sleep last night. Finally, we needed to get away from the stress, so we went out for dinner. I guess when the house was all dark the snake decided it was ok to cruise and sure enough when we came home the first trap we checked had a snake!!



I cannot believe that I actually found a method that worked! And I'm so happy to have my family back together again... all accounted for and in full lockdown!



I will now use this as a preventative measure and just leave them out all the time, just in case!
