However they were a PITA to keep clean. Changing to disposable deli-cups for watering was absolutely the single most time saving thing I have done. I special ordered some schedule 80 PVC electrical conduit (Just like PVC Pipe only with a wall that is twice as thick and different inside diameter) with an inside diameter that is perfect for 16 ounce deli-cups (a few years ago BHB turned me on to this information and it is one of the most valuable tips I have ever gotten). I then cut the conduit/pipe into lengths that are tall enough so they come to approximately 1 -1.5 inches from the top of my racks. When they are cut this tall, it is impossible to tip them over while the rack is closed. I buy Fabri-Cal deli cups 5000 at a time and pay about 5 cents apiece. For me $15 to easily change out 300 water bowls is NO CONTEST compared to having to scrub and clean crocks reusable bowls. It literally takes me a small fraction of the time with the disposable cups compared to the reusable. Hope this helps someone as much as it did me. THANK YOU BRIAN!!! | ||
