Well, I'm not about to own one, as that's not a responsibility I want to deal with, but I think it is possible to do responsibly. Obviously it requires a level of commitment to safe practices that most people are not capable of. I think this guy does a pretty good job though, and if nothing else, it's very interesting to see him work with them:
