Congrats on the new acquisition. And welcome to the forum!!!!
Like Jeff already said three (2 1/2) is a minimum for both females and males. I've never had a male successfully breed any younger. I go with 1.5KG as a minimum weight on the female which is 3.3 pounds. I've heard 3 minimum with 3 1/2 better. I like grams so 1.5KG is a nice round number.
And yeah, some at that age and weight will not take.
Of course that's 1.5KG at normal weight distribution, not a overfed, fat female. ----- Thanks,
Dave Colling
