Yes, it is just a certain "look" that was coined to describe the lighter gray background that was fairly common in the Miami/Dade area, although as you already know, the "look" can come from virtually anywhere else too. AND as you mentioned, the vast majority of these are selectively bred for the trait in captivity.



Just like the "Okeetees", yes locality, and no not necessarily..LOL!



What do ya think of that pic of the KILLER wild caught female from way back when??(about 15 years ago)........she was captured just above Miami in Broward County, and produced many nice clutches. I really wish I still had that gorgeous girl, she was even much better looking than that photo depicted.
