Of course, and freezing them only reduces risk but does not eliminate it. One should always be aware of the risk, but I assume this guy needs a Toad by his post.

Possibly, but without a defined source I would not speculate about them being pathogen free. Certain parasites are prevalent in amphibians, which is the whole point of getting them on rodents. Unfortunately sometimes you have to work through that process. ----- Herp Conservation Unlimited
