I wouldn't use the drawer systems exactly like you said, easy to break out of. I had thought about it though, decided not to because they're so flimsy. There may be some way to strengthen them but I'm not sure.

I use 7qt for hatchlings up to about 300g. Then switch to 15qt until they're about 600g or so. Then switch to 34t. Males can usually stay in 34qt tubs for a while.

All my breeder females are in 40qt, most of them are around 1500 to 2000g. I give smaller snakes hides, but breeder females are fine without hides. I feed all my snakes in their tubs and they do great.
