Okay- last month I found an adult leopard gecko at a local pet chain- he was in pretty dismal condition, all fat and lethargic from being kept in a tiny little cage and missing lots of toes from bad sheds. I talked the chain into giving him to me and took him home and got him set up in a 30 gallon setup. He's already loosing weight, has gone through a successful shed, and seems to be doing much better, but there is one thing I was unsure of that I thought I would ask you guys.



This gecko had a strange tooth-like thing on the end of his snout, just in front of his mouth. I was never too sure what it was. Today while I was taking him out to check on him it fell off. Now, I'm assuming that this is a good thing, as I don't think that he was supposed to HAVE that strange growth to begin with, but I thought it would be best to ask about it here.
