You say they are recessive. I was under the impression that a couple had been produced from the same parents, but that doesn't PROVE it is a single recessive trait. So, have you bred visual to het and visual to visual already? Has this project advanced that far? Is it really proven recessive (and please give us the test crosses used to prove this - I'd love to hear it!) or just suspected?

From what i've gathered, the parents were both possible het for hypo and albino. These do NOT look like the double homozygous hypo albinos i've seen images of, but have you confirmed definitively that they just aren't that combination with just a darn good looking twist to it? Granted, I would be one surprised person if that is what it turns out to be, but it might be worth checking. Actually, have you even gotten hypo and albinos from the parents that started this line? If not (and you actually have a large number of samples - i.e., hatchlings), then you are right there knocking down this hypothesis. I hope so since I suspect this hypothesis is WRONG, and I'll be GLAD that it is.

That's an awesome mutation, and I hope it is completely new and recessive in nature!
