Posted by: LarM at Mon Sep 29 22:47:38 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by LarM ] I was a Carpenter by trade for years until I ruined my back (fusion surgery & all that). Anyway I worked with plywood then in later years OSB was used. OSB replaced plywood for roof sheathing, the decking / sub floor. I never remember at anytime using MDF(Medium Density Fiberboard)for any thing in the trade. How is it to work with? Does it release toxins? I believe OSB does as it degrades toxins are released. I won't use anything but plywood or solid wood products right now. Curious how is MDF to work with and anything you can tell about it ? Thanks [ Hide Replies ]
