Right off the top of my head I say to look into a kingsnake or milksnake, but there are other good candidates.
One thing to consider about what a snake eats is the availability of that food source and the ease of keeping a supply on-hand.
Rodents are abundant, both live & frozen (probably more abundant frozen), and the frozen ones require no maintenance other than keeping them frozen. Insects, amphibians, etc, are harder to come by and require care & feeding until they're fed off to the snake. My personal opinion is that F/T rodents is the best, only, way to go.
