1. Take a stool sample to the vet, to rule out parasites, because the boa stays thin even though eating OK.

2. Snakes are quite sensitive to smells. Just keep fresh clean-smelling water in her bowl. Do this by washing her bowl and giving her fresh water every morning, because she may be picky.
Here's a trick, use a different bowl everyday, you know how boas investigate anything new in the cage. You might be able to use her curiousity to your advantage, then tempt her with really great-smelling water in it.
If your water smells like chlorine, sulphur, or other chemicals, get bottled spring water or get a water filter. (While it is true that you can leave water standing overnight to remove chlorine, what makes chlorine smell, is that it is working i.e. killing stuff in your water that could be bad for your boa). Place the bowl on the cool side, after filling it with room temperature water. A boa will drink when you're not looking at night when they are more active and most people are sleeping. You might have a boa a year and never see it drink! : )
