I say that's an interesting question because I didn't even think about it! So I just went and looked.
I'm not sure how you would "define" a laddertail, so I came up with a rather objective rating. I looked at the number of white square or hourglass shaped "ladder-steps" and anything with 3 or more is definitely a laddertail. If it had 2, I said "kind-of" a laddertail. And 1 and it gets the rating of "the makings of" a laddertail. lol How's that?? haha
So, 3-5 have laddertails. I know that doesn't follow my objective ratings, so let me explain. 3 have definite laddertails. 2 have 2 or 3 white steps with the 3rd being subject to interpretation, but I feel like they could be laddersteps. So, they're not extreme laddertails, but based on the criteria above, they fall into the catergory.
There is 1 that falls into the "kind of" category having 2 markings indicative of laddertail.
4 fall into the "makings of" category with 2 of those potentially being in the "kind of" category.
Only 1 animal has no indication of a laddertail.
The animal pictured above was one of those that falls into the laddertail category with 4 "steps".
Thanks for making me think Lee!!!
