Electricity in California is the most expensive I know of. SCE is the worst, they charge you on a Tier system. The more KWH you use the higher up the tier you go. Each time you go up a level your rates get higher. There's not really much you can do besides trying to cut back other places like lights, tv, a/c, etc.
