A little ways down the page someone posted about electricity bills, I calculated mine fo my snake room last winter and it is nearly half of what our entire heating bill is(and the snake room is only a bout 8' X 16". I've got a couple heat ropes, four UVB lights, four heat lamps plus about three heat pads. Then there's a 250w heatbulb that tries to heat the whole room(it's a small room).
I've got a couple ideas for keepin it hot though:
The drier blows the hot air outside right below my window, I'm going to get a pipe and make it blow into the room(it might get linty)
I'll be stuffing towels in the window frames between the glass and the storm windows.
Our house is also going to finally be insulated! This should help a ton!!!
Hopefully, all those things will help and I can get rid of the 250w heat bulb(it's kindof a fire hazard).
Just wanted to add my comments cause the post below was realy helpful, I thought. Anymore ideas?
